Here you go everyone, our first ultrasound, which will inaugurate our blog. I (Erin) have been meaning to set this up, and finally something worth sharing.
We will be 10 weeks along tomorrow, with a due date of June 17, 2009. The ultrasound put the baby at 9 weeks and 1 day, but our doctor said it wasn't enough difference to change the due date.
If you look closely at the smudge, I mean ultrasound, you will see an upside down tiny baby. Big head at the bottom, tiny arm buds just above that, and slight little leg buds even further up.
I think Donald will agree with me that seeing something in there kind of made this all feel a bit more real. I have been experiencing a few body changes, but nothing Donald can really notice. Now we got to see for sure that there is a baby on the way.
All of our test results came back negative. Good thing. Blood pressure is a little high. Hopefully it stays where its at an doesn't go any higher. Haven't had much morning sickness, maybe 2 or 3 days tops. Hungry all the time.
The doctor's appointment went much better than the first one. We actually met with a doctor, and she willingly answered our questions. We, meaning I, have chosen to stay with this doctor, and the Facey group, even though I was so upset at not being able to change. It seems we will mostly get what we want out of a hospital delivery, with a few compromises.
